Fibromyalgia & K Laser Therapy

Fibromyalgia & K Laser Therapy

Health Benefits of K- Laser Therapy for Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a long term condition that can cause pains that are felt throughout the body. Sufferers can also experience fatigue, stiffness, memory problems, and headaches. While nobody knows exactly how the condition arises, it is thought to be related to chemical processes within the brain and spinal cord. Sometimes Fibromyalgia can be triggered by and emotional experience or physical trauma, though in some cases it is thought to be genetic.

How Does K-Laser Work on Fibromyalgia?

Basically, three things happen during K-Laser treatment. First, infrared laser therapy treatment helps reduce pain, reduce inflammation, and enhance tissue healing—both in hard and soft tissues, including muscles, ligaments, or even bones.

Light comes in a variety of forms. The light that we see is the visible part of the spectrum of electromagnetic radiation.  The light that is visible to us is a specific range of colors in that spectrum… but not the whole spectrum. O  Laser light is compressed light of a wavelength from the cold, red part of the spectrum, whereas the sun is the ultra-violet burning “hot” side. The K-Laser is very different from natural light. It penetrates deep into the painful area and eliminates the pain, many times instant relief is felt. Each cell has its own energy field. The laser uses red and far-in fared light to stimulate the mitochondria of the cell, the power plant, which then releases the chemical ATP, Adenosine Tri Phosphate, which wakes the cells up so they can talk to each other again. This process reduces pain and inflammation by bringing more blood and oxygen to the area.  It increases the healing time by 50% or more.  K-Laser Therapy is extremely effective in alleviating pain and reducing inflammation throughout the body. In some cases it may relieve this condition permanently, others may be an ongoing maintenance program.

Plantar Fasciiitis & K – Laser Therapy

Plantar Fasciiitis & K – Laser Therapy

The American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) conducted a study that revealed 77 percent of Americans (18 and up) suffer from foot pain, mostly active men from 40 to 70 years old.  Approximately 2 million people in the United States will suffer from Plantar Fasciitis, one of the most common foot pains.

Plantar Fasciitis is inflammation of the thick tissue on the bottom of the foot. This tissue is called the plantar fascia. It connects the heel bone to the toes and creates the arch of the footThe most common complaint is pain and stiffness in the bottom of the heel. It may be dull or sharp, from the heel to the bottom of the foot and sometimes into the toes.  It may also ache or burn. This can be painful and make walking more difficult.

Some of the symptoms may occur:

  • In the morning when you take your first steps
  • After standing or sitting for a while
  • When climbing stairs
  • After intense activity

Plantar Fasciitis develops because of repeated small tears to the flat band of ligamentous tissue that connects your heel to the bones of your toes. These tears weaken the arch that supports the foot. As the arch of the foot weakens, increasing strain is placed on the deeper ligaments and tendons of the foot and lower leg. Over time, Plantar Fasciitis can develop into Chronic Pain, Heel Spurs and Degenerative Joint Disease (Arthritis).

K Laser treatments of Plantar Fasciitis can actually heal the condition by increasing the blood flow to the area, which in turn brings more nutrients and oxygen to the surrounding muscles and joints. This reduces the inflammation in the tissue allowing the cells to repair at an accelerated rate. The results are less pain and a much quicker recovery time.

Before going under the knife for Plantar Fasciitis please consider the K-Laser treatments. It is an effective way to heal your pain and change your life.

Inflammatory Bowel Diseases – Crohn’s, IBS & Colitis

Inflammatory Bowel Diseases – Crohn’s, IBS & Colitis

Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), which includes Crohn’s disease, IBS and ulcerative colitis, affect as many as 1.6 million Americans, most of who are diagnosed before age 35. While they claim that these diseases are incurable the K Laser has been proven to be extremely effective in treating these diseases.

While diagnosing Inflammatory Bowel diseases as different from each other the fact is they mostly affect the same area of the body. While Ulcerative Colitis is the inflammation of the inner lining of the intestine and Crohn’s can appear anywhere in the tract, Laser therapy reduces the inflammation in the abdomen, intestines and bowels, thereby reducing the pain and allowing your body to function properly. It also works well for chronic constipation, menstrual cramps and heavy menstrual bleeding.  Laser Therapy is a great way to reduce pain, without having to take pain medication which can cause more bleeding in the stomach lining.

. What is Laser Therapy?

Laser Therapy, or “photobiomodulation”, is the use of specific wavelengths of light (red and near-infrared) to create therapeutic effects. These effects include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation and decreased swelling. Laser Therapy has been widely utilized in Europe by physical therapists, nurses and doctors as far back as the 1970’s. Now, after FDA clearance in 2002, Laser Therapy is being used extensively in the United States.

Disc Degeneration & K Laser Therapy

Disc Degeneration & K Laser Therapy

So many people are finding they have inter-vertebral disc degeneration in their spine.  What causes this is pretty involved.  Basically, it’s the destruction of the extracellular matrix of the cell.  The factors that cause this create an imbalance of enzymes which then cause back and neck pain.  It’s way more involved than this but I’m sure you’re looking for an answer, not an long explanation with a lot of medical terms.

When the disc in your spine becomes inflamed it induces degeneration of those discs.  Some of the symptoms of this can be numbness, tingling, traveling pain, localized pain or weakness in the back or legs. Most recommendations for the treatment of disc degeneration is drugs. This just covers up the symptoms but does not actually heal your body, nor does it stop the degeneration.  K Laser therapy is an effective, conservative treatment that reduces the inflammation of the disc. The goal is to heal the body, not cover up the symptoms.  Laser therapy may help stop the degeneration and will relieve the pain by decreasing the inflammation and  healing the tissues. This may also prevent the need for surgery, which you all know can be debilitating. This is a simple, effective, painless way to heal your body.

Osteoarthritis-Rheumatoid- Gouty Arthritis Pain

Osteoarthritis-Rheumatoid- Gouty Arthritis Pain

Osteoarthritis – Rheumatoid Arthritis – Gouty Arthritis  Pain

Arthritis is, simply, swelling of the joint. Osteoarthritis is the most common type, with an estimated 27 million people affected at any time. Gout,Gouty Arthritis,  affects about 3 million people a year. Rheumatoid arthritis affects 1.5 million Americans. There are more than 100 other causes of arthritis, but they play a smaller role. Generally speaking, arthritis is evenly split between men and women, but there are variations within osteoarthritis,  rheumatoid and gout. Osteoarthritis is a sign of aging. By 85, half of all people will have arthritis in their knee, and nearly everyone will have arthritis somewhere. However, even children can be afflicted. 300,000 children under age 18 have rheumatoid arthritis.

Osteoarthritis, or degenerative joint disease

Osteoarthritis starts off as a breakdown, thinning, or wearing out of the joint lining due to repeated stress and weight bearing. Osteoarthritis involves the entire joint including the cartilage, joint lining, ligaments, and underlying bone. After the age of 40, you just cannot avoid osteoarthritis, it progressively affects everyone. Osteoarthritis can be well treated with high power laser therapy. Laser improves the underlying cytochemistry, increases blood flow, and relieves pain.

Rheumatism

Rheumatoid arthritis is an auto-immune disease causing inflammation of the synovial lining of multiple joints. Usually the weight-bearing joints are less-affected and more often than not, symmetrical joints (left/right) are. Pain, swelling, and redness are common.

Arthritis & Laser Treatment

The new high-power Class IV Lasers can effectively treat arthritis. Prior studies with weaker Class III lasers, so called “low level laser therapy” or “cold lasers”, has been shown by numerous scientific studies to be worthless at treating arthritis. Given their inability to penetrate more than a few mm of skin, this is not surprising. Modern Class IV lasers have 50 times the power of cold lasers.

Cesarean Section – Breast Feeding & Laser Therapy

Cesarean Section – Breast Feeding & Laser Therapy

Giving birth by Cesarean Section is a difficult procedure.  You have so many things to tend to with a newborn and even moving can be difficult and painful. As with any surgery, your tissues are damaged and a healing process needs to occur. You may also have to contend with the challenges of Breast Feeding. Feeding may not be the problem, however, the after affects, such as rash or bleeding nipples, chaffing and pain can make your life miserable.

Laser therapy can alleviate pain, reduce inflammation and accelerate recovery from a wide range of acute and chronic clinical conditions. As rehabilitation specialists know, the main goal of treatment for many when treating painful, debilitating conditions is to facilitate improved function and mobility. Laser therapy is a drug-free, surgery-free technique to help make that goal a reality. Laser therapy has no adverse affect on your body and will not harm the baby in any way. Healing occurs on a cellular level. The photon light (K-Laser), hits the mitochondria of the cell, which is the power plant, causing it to release ATP (adenosine triphosphate),which then wakes the cells up and heals them.

Here is a list of areas that may be treated successfully:

Nipple pain, bleeding or rawness

Perineal /pelvic pain

Caesarean scar and interior healing

Milk production

K- Laser Therapy is leading the way in pain management, tissue repair, safe treatments and fast treatment times. Make the choice to alleviate your pain and heal quickly so you can enjoy being a new mother.

Do you have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Do you have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Do you have CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME?

What if you could wake up pain free every day? How much easier would your life be?

Here are some more SHOCKING FACTS
About Carpal Tunnel Syndrome:

• Carpal Tunnel Syndrome was the “chief occupational hazard of the 90’s” – disabling workers in epidemic

proportions. (The U.S. Department of Labor)

• Over 8 Million Americans annually are affected by Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

• The #1 reported medical problem, accounting for approximately 50% of ALL work related injuries,

is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

• Up to 36% of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome patients require continual (permanent) medical treatment.

• Surgery for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is the second most common type of surgery in the USA. Over

230,000 procedures performed EACH YEAR.

So… What IS Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? …

The Carpal Tunnel is a “tunnel” that is formed by the bones in the wrist and an inflexible ligament (the Transverse Carpal Ligament) that lies over the top of the bones. Several important structures lie in this tunnel including the finger tendons (which help you make a fist and move the wrist) and a nerve called the Median Nerve (which goes to the muscles in your arm and hand and gives you feeling in parts of your hand and forearm). Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is when the Median Nerve becomes PINCHED, INFLAMED & SWOLLEN! A 2001 study by the Mayo Clinic found heavy computer use (up to 7 hours a day) did not increase a person’s risk of developing carpal tunnel syndrome.

What is our treatment For Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

K Laser Therapy- Class IV Laser Therapy is a non-surgical, drugless & painless deep treatment that is cleared by the FDA and has shown phenomenal results with even the MOST ADVANCED cases of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, even AFTER surgery! K-Laser actually HEALS the Median Nerve itself!

SO… WHAT EXACTLY IS K LASER THERAPY?

Light comes in a variety of forms. The light that we see is the visible part of the spectrum of electromagnetic radiation.  The light that is visible to us is a specific range of colors in that spectrum… but not the whole spectrum. Other parts of the spectrum are not visible, such as the ultra-violet light (on the Left, or “hot” side, of the spectrum) that tans (or burns) your skin.  Laser light is compressed light of a wavelength from the cold, red part of the spectrum. The K-Laser is very different from natural light. It penetrates deep into the painful area and eliminates the pain, many times instant relief is felt. In the recent past, since 1967, more than 2,000 clinical studies have been published worldwide on Lasers.

Overwhelming Proof!

In February 2002 the first patent and market FDA Clearance was given to Class IV Lasers for the non-surgical treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.  Even after surgery many patients saw immediate results in reduction of pain and swelling. The healing time was virtually cut in half.

Is K Laser Therapy for YOU?

In many cases K Laser Therapy can prevent surgery. Depending on how your body reacts to the laser it may heal your body in half of the normal healing process. Some patients receive one treatment and are healed. If you would like to heal naturally and quickly call us for an appointment and let’s start the healing process! Sports Injuries – Strains, Sprains, Tears, Breaks

Sports Injuries – Strains, Sprains, Tears, Breaks

How important is it for you to heal quickly when you have a sports injury such as a tear, strain, sprain or break?

LASER technology has been widely used in Europe since the 1970’s and after clearance by the FDA in 2002 and has been in the USA for about 15 years. LASER therapy is the use of specific wavelengths of light to create therapeutic benefits. These different wavelengths promote the healing of skin, bone, cartilage, muscle, fascia, nerve and tendons.  There are 2 basic categories of LASER:  (1) Surgical LASER that cuts tissues and (2) Therapeutic LASER that heals tissues.

One of the unique characteristics of Class IV LASER therapy is that it promotes and accelerates the healing process (not just treating symptoms), thereby restoring and repairing the normal function of injured areas…FAST! Many offices actually use Class III LASER, which often are around 15 mW (milli Watts). Our Class IV LASER is literally one thousand times stronger, using 15,000 mW (milli Watts).

LASER therapy has a significant effect on damaged tissues, while normal tissues are not affected. Without getting too technical, the chromophores (light receptors) on compromised tissues respond to a LASER treatment, whereas chromophores on healthy tissues do not. Since only chromophore receptors on injured tissues absorb LASER energy, only the chemical reactions in those tissues get affected. This is the same way many medications work, by affecting receptors on cells, thus influencing what the body is doing. The big difference between Class IV LASER therapy and medication is that LASER therapy does not have any dangerous side effects. LASER therapy simply stimulates the natural healing process in the body to happen a lot faster and a lot more often. It’s all natural and organic. It is extremely important to heal quickly when you have a strain, sprain, tear or break.  Less formation of scar tissue, less pain and less inflammation.

There are 2 factors essential for LASER treatments to be therapeutically healing are:  (1) the energy must penetrate deep enough to reach the target tissue and (2) there has to be enough energy to stimulate the therapeutic healing effect.

Class IV LASER therapy offers powerful therapeutic benefits, all of which occur simultaneously, including:

  • Dramatic pain relief
  • Dramatic acceleration of healing to repair injured areas faster
  • Increased circulation, bringing more oxygen and nutrition to an area
  • Increased cellular reactions (*see paragraph above regarding chromophores)
  • Decreased scar formation and stiffness
  • Non-addictive with no side-effects

K-Laser Therapy is crucial in sports injury recovery in that it will help you get back in the game 2x faster than any other treatment!!
